There will be a private viewing held by the family, followed by a burial at Woodlawn Cemetery. Her strong will and optimistic attitude never wavered as she did all she could to fight for her health.Ĭhristine is survived by her daughter, Laura (Christian) Acosta, and grandsons, Rafael and Renato (on the way) of Queens her son, Stephen Giannetto, of Binghamton her sister, Nancy (Daniel) Cacciola of Wellsville her niece Theresa (Alex) Zolotarev of Charlotte and nephew Gregory (Betsy) Cacciola of Wellsville. Her trust in God shined especially bright as she battled many health problems related to her brain tumor later in life. ![]() She met each one with a determination to do what she knew was right and never give up hope. She was definitely a strong woman as she faced many challenges throughout her life. She perfectly fulfilled her role as a care giver for individuals needing help in their homes many called her their “angel.” Christine also had a free spirit and sense of adventure as she loved traveling, exploring, and enjoying the outdoors. ![]() Some of her favorite times were hosting meals, eating out, chatting on the phone, laughing, and spending time with family and friends. Her bubbly, compassionate, selfless, and caring personality drew others to her. She enjoyed many lasting friendships throughout her life. She loved reading and learning from God’s Word as well as fellowshipping with her church family.Įverywhere Christine went, she gained loving, supporting friends. She often told her children, “what you believe affects everything you do.” She was active in various church ministries and attended services every time the doors were open. As she often said, “after all Christ has done for me, I want my life to count for Him!” Her passion to share her faith was evident as a faithful servant, witness, and mother. This decision changed her whole outlook on life. She then home-schooled her two children and later became a self-employed home health care provider in New York and North Carolina.Ĭhristine trusted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior as a young adult. She graduated from Windsor High School and received her Bible college education from Western Bible College in Colorado and Practical Bible Training School in Binghamton.Ĭhristine worked as a secretary for various establishments in Binghamton, including NYS Electric and Gas, Practical Bible College, Dover Technologies, and Universal Instruments. to Marvin Guy and Bernice Edythe (Johnson) Herring.
